First Fashionable Friday

Hello Fantabulous Followers and welcome to the very first Fashionable Friday! Each Friday we will show you an outfit that is both practical and budget-friendly. Some weeks we will also show you outfits for those rarely seen date nights. As a mom we always put ourselves last, making sure everyone else is taken care of. Well no more! We want you all to get out of those sweat-wearing, no makeup, un-brushed hair ruts that we tend to get in. Well I have enlisted the help of my bestie Amanda from Fashionista on a Dime and together we are bringing you Fashionable Fridays!

Amanda and I met each other 7 years ago when we worked together at David's Bridal. (If you need any wedding advise we are the girls for you!) We have been through both of our weddings, the birth of my daughter, and my hubby coming home from Iraq together. We are so close we even married best friends! I started selling AVON and MARK about a year ago and love their products so much I have to stop myself from buying everything. While I have never been a big fan of dressing up, I love exploring everyday outfits that are both stylish and budget-friendly. When I received many comments from you fantabulous followers that you were looking for ways to spruce up your closets, the first thing I thought of was to join forces with Amanda. Here is a little info about her:

"When I was a little girl I dreamed of being a princess. The kind that wore ball-gowns and glass slippers. Coming into my mid 20's, newlywed, recent college graduate, I now translate "princess" into "Fashionista." With a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and countless shopping trips, dips and slips I have figured out ways to make it happen for women everywhere on a budget. I started Fashionista On A Dime December 2009 and joined forces with mark. (a makeup and clothing company affiliated with Avon). I'm growing my business as an online fashion consultant as well. I love pouring my heart into blogging and consulting so I can reach women greater than Los Angeles & Inland Empire area. It is my mission to bring out the best in you, no matter your shape or size. You can be as hip and beautiful as your heart desires!"

So I hope you are all looking forward to Fashionable Fridays as much as we are!

So there you have it! A complete outfit for under 100 dollars! Now for those of us who cannot afford to spend that on one outfit, we have made it so each item can be interchangable. This not only helps our wallets, but helps us get out of the rut because of how easy it is to slip on those jeans! We hope you enjoyed the very first edition of Fashionable Fridays and now it is your turn! We want you to link up anything fashion related. Whether it is an outfit you found online, an outfit you have worn that you love, or any questions you may have. Each week we will pick our favorite idea or question and feature it the following week. So start linking and see you next week!

**Edited to Add: I wanted to add a linky so you could all link up your ideas today and as a trial run for our first ever Super Crafty Sundays. However, I am having issues so I need your help! I have tried two different sites for links and once added, while viewing my blog, they automatically go to the links and shut down my page. Does anyone know why this is happening?
