SCS Favorites and Super Crafty Saturday 8

Hello my fantabulous followers!! I hope you have all had a fantastic week and are looking forward to an even better weekend! Thank you so much for all of your congratulations to our exciting news! I am 8 weeks preggo so I am having some sickness which makes it hard to have the energy to craft after having a 2 1/2 year old all day. This time is harder than the first since I can't lay down whenever I want with the munchkin constantly needing me. My hubby has been super helpful though and takes her when he gets home for a bit to give me a breather since I am sick from noon to midnight everyday. I am so blesses to have him as my hubby and can't wait to see his reaction to this pregnancy (since he deployed last time when I was 4 1/2 months along.) So we are all very excited especially Aurora who has already told us she wants a baby sister! It is going to be fun to see her reactions as well once the baby starts kicking and all the fun stuff.

So thank you again for all the congrats...now on to my favs from last weeks party!

Fashionable Friday: Investing in Your PJ's

Good Morning Fashionista! Amanda from Fashionista On A Dime here.....

If you are new to "Fashionable Fridays" ~WELCOME! Pull up a cushy chair, grab a cup of coffee and let's chat.....My very good friend, Shannon (the owner of this fabulous crafty blog), is an amazing woman. She cares about your fashion needs and wants to see you happy with every area of mommy-hood including your wardrobe. It's commonly placed on the back-burner because you are busy caring for little ones and your significant other.  Where is the time? Well, you deserve to carve out some time (like now!) an reward yourself for being so nurturing and giving! So, for your prize, I want to give you easy tips to uncover your inner Fashionista you once knew and ditch the old sweats and t-shirt routine.

So far we've showcased outfits that will 'wow' your husband on date-nights. We've created fabulous yet comfortable outfits for you to run errands with the kids. We also put together outfits that you can relax in while hanging out at home. Make sure you check those out, too.

Today I'd like to focus on another area that often is overlooked: your pj collection! Sleep time is another opportunity to give back to yourself. It's a time that is so easy to carve out for yourself because the kids are (usually) asleep before you hit the sack. So this may be a little easier for you to kick into gear.  Are you ready? No SCS This Week :(

Hello my fantabulous followers! I have been such a bad hostess this week and I apologize. I will not be having Super Crafty Saturday this week because there is just too much on my plate right now. I will be back for next weeks party as well as feature my favorites from last week's party as soon as I can. We just have a lot of family stuff going on right now, and I am looking for a replacement in my current job and am starting a new job as well on top of my MOMS Club newsletter responsibilities and MOPS as well. So I will be on a blogging hiatus until next week but to make up for my absense I will open the party a day early on Thursday and will also be doing a giveaway! Fashionable Friday: Easy & Chic Plaid

Happy 'Fashionable' Friday, ladies! Amanda from Fashionista On A Dime here, bringing a FUN Do-It-Yourself kind of trend.  Plaid, button-up tops are hot and trendy right now. The good news for women everywhere? It's an affordable and comfortable day time and weekend look! We love that, right? RIGHT! :) Let's take a look....

Target White Plaid Shirt $17.99

Color: White plaid is very flattering to all skin tones thanks to the brilliant 'pop' of color. The jewel tones offset any type of skin tone beautifully. However, if you're not loving the color, rest assured there are MANY more color options available.

(I'm soo loving the authentic looking pearl-snap buttons too! Makes me think of the movie: Coyote Ugly. ;)

Fit: This plaid top is my favorite because it contours a woman's body proportionately.  If your midsection is a problem area for you, this top acts as a concealer.

Add: To change up this look or layer it, add a lace insert cami to pump up the feminine factor.  For warmth: add a hooded zip-up sweater or a nice jacket.

Accessories: Keep it simple at top, ladies! Pendant necklaces are perfect. If you're dying to add a chunky piece, let it be a bracelet.
