Diaper Cakes

About 9 months ago I was working with my aunt to throw my cousin Sara a baby shower. I wanted to do something special for her as my gift that could also be Incorporated into the decorations. I did some research and heard about diaper cakes. I thought to myself, "Hey I can do that!" So I bought the supplies and made my very first diaper cake. I was very skeptical because I did not know what people would think but I decided to do it anyway.

I brought it to the baby shower and people loved it, especially Sara! She was so excited that it even matched the Winnie the Pooh theme of her baby shower. Everyone could not stop complimenting me and said that I should do this again. So one month later at my other cousin Nikki's baby shower I made a Noah's Ark cake. Once again I was given many compliments and they all told me I should start a business. And that is how Chubster Diaper Cakes was born.

I now have my own website and do a diaper cake about once a month. I am having so much fun doing them and hope that my business expands in the future but for now its perfect.

One Crafty Mommy

For most of my life I have always been trying to come up with things that I can make for my family and friends. I believe that a gift from the heart is much more meaningful than a store bought one. So I have been making gifts, crafts, scrapbooks, etc for a few years now and everytime I make something my friends and family say that I should show them off to everyone. I always brush it off but then one day it hit me! Why shouldn't I show off my work? I have so much fun coming up with creative things not only for gifts but for partys as well. Lately I have helped plan baby showers, bachelorette partys, and even a wedding. I have so much fun doing these and I hope to be doing them for a long time!

Who is One Crafty Mommy?

I am a relatively sane stay-at-home mom. I have a wonderful husband and one beautiful children age 2. She is my entire world and I feel so blessed to have her. We are currently looking to buy our first house in Torrance but that could always change depending on job. We know thtat we will be blessed with whatever God feels is right for us. We work, play, go to church, and basically have a good time. To keep my brain from going to mush from too much mommy-time, I started doing crafts, party planning, diaper cakes galore. I love coming up with new party planning ideas and crafts to make. When I'm not making crafts(or cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, doing laundry, bible study, mommy & me, etc.), you can find me catching up on my shows or spending quality time with my hubby.
I run this site for my own personal enjoyment, but I like a challenge so feel free to e-mail me with happy suggestions and comments. Want to know how I do something? Just ask. I can probably accommodate.
