As most of you know my hubby, daughter, and I live temporarily with my in-laws, so we are limited to our room. Now our room is about 11 x 11 feet so there is not much room to do anything but I love a challenge. It all started with my hubby getting a little more than irritated when he would come in to go to bed and all of my scrapbook supplies would be on our bed since I did not have a space to scrap. He decided enough was enough and we needed to make a space for me to scrap, craft, sew, etc. but did not know how with such a small space. Well I love a challenge so I started brain-storming! Here is what the room looked like before (sorry the pictures are with Christmas decorations that is all I have!):
And here is the big reveal:
Bed is now against the back wall (I hate beds against the wall but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make for my craft area!)
My new craft area! A large piece of wood held by our two nightstands and two center brackets for support.
Look at all that space!
That's over 7 feet of work space!
All of my supplies are nice and organized
My new saying!
So there you have it! And all we had to buy was the wood and brakets! Pretty good for 11 x 11 feet. I hope you enjoyed my bedroom makeover and I look forward to having you all over for some scrapbooking!
So I was only going to blog once tonight until I found this adorable craft that we can do! I know we all love to give cards for Holidays and Birthdays but wouldn't it be nice to recieve a card on a Wednesday, just because? Or what about giving our husbands a card to show how much we love him and appreciate him? Personally I would love to do this everyday for my husband and while I would do one right now it would probably end up looking like I was drunk while I made it since I am beyond exhaustion right about now! With that being said I swear this is my final post for the night, especially since I am sitting in bed while I type this. (If there are any typos I do apologize!) Back to my point, sorry I ramble when I am tired, I found this really cute tutorial and I am planning on making one tomorrow afternoon (when I have energy) and putting it by my hubby's side of the bed so it will be there when he wakes up the following morning! This is what yours could look like:
I will upload pictures of my card tomorrow and would love to see yours as well! Now off to bed I swear! Enjoy!
Now I know this is coming a few days late but better late than never. Now all year I have jotted down things in the back of my mind, without writing them down, of things I would like to accomplish. However, due to my lack of writing them down I have forgotten most of them which starts this resolution list. I hope these resolutions will be as effective in real life as they are on paper.
1) Start writing down ideas when I get them!! (I started this already by hanging up a whiteboard!)
2. Create more tutorials of my own for the blog.
3. Make a weekly list of short-term goals.
4. Actually start Aurora's 2008 scrapbook (I know I'm a little behind!)
5. Find more cost-effective stores to buy my craft supplies.
That's all I can come up with for right now until I perfect my first resolution! Until the next craft...Goodnight!
I am asking the question: Can little girls have too many bows? As the proud mommy of an adorable little princess my answer is an astounding NO!!! There can never be such a thing as "too many bows" when it comes to little girls. Don't have a daughter? Think of this as a cute gift for nieces, cousins, sisters, or even yourself! This are so cute and easy to make that I am going to the craft store tomorrow and getting some supplies to make these! Want to know how? Go to this site and see this awesome tutorial. Here are thr adorable bows you can make:
Bumble Bees
Butterflies
Dragon Flies
Lady Bugs
The only thing I think that will be hard about this tutorial is deciding which one to make! So head on over to The Ribbon Retreat to check out this awesome tutorial! Enjoy!
Well it is one of my favorite movies and the fact that Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, & Miranda have impecable taste in clothes. It would be women like them who shop at Barney's, not women like us.
Now I know that I would love to be able to shop at Barney's but who really wants to spend 890 dollars on a necklace that does not even have real pearls! I know I wouldn't! So why not make it? Well that is exactly what Tricia at Oh So Crafty did!
She found an in-expensive and easy way to make a Barney's Inspired Bracelet& and so can you! I know I am not only going to try and make the bracelet but make a necklace as well and when I do I will let you know!
Isn't that gorgeous?! So head on over to Oh So Crafty to check out this awesome tutorial and make your own Barney's Inspired Bracelet. I know I will! Enjoy!
Happy Sunday! While relaxing this lazy Sunday I stumbled across a site that I am now in love with! It is called All Things Thrifty and is composed of women who give you adorable decorating and craft ideas that are thrifty! It was hard to pick just one tutorial since they are all so fantastic but I was able to narrow it down to a fabulous one about making your own pillows!
Now I know what you are thinking, this is going to be hard and not cost effective but trust me, you can do this! I am so excited to go to the craft store and buy some adorable fabric to make some of my own!
So the inspiration piece they used is from the Simple Vera Wang Collection at Kohl's which would cost you 50 dollars for one pillow! So here is the inspiration:
Cute pillow, not exactly my favorite color and way over-priced, but here is what you can do with it!
Didn't they do a fantastic job?! And for two pillows it cost them less than 20 dollars! I can't wait to do this myself! I am thinking about using this fabric which is only 10 dollars a yard which can easily make 2 pillows! So come join me and head on over to All Things Thrifty to start making your very own pillow! I'll upload my pictures when I am done and would love to see yours! Enjoy!
On Tuesday, January 2, 2007 I married my love, my life, my best friend. We were married at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach in a beautiful intimate service with 100 family and friends. Our reception was held at Occasions in El Segundo which had a beautiful indoor and outdoor space. It was a beautiful wedding and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
Each day I wake up and thank God for my wonderful husband. He is the best husband a girl could ask for and he is my best friend. I am so happy we have been together for 3 years and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together! I wanted to share some pictures of our special day with you! Happy Anniversary Babe!
